I’m the creator of Pitch América, a contest designed to feature new and upcoming Latinx voices and bring them to light.
The importance of PitchAmérica is to bring attention to the many diverse voices inside our community and give them equal opportunity to be heard. By featuring Latinx voices we hope we can bring light into the publishing worlds by diversifying stories and having books that reflect our own reality.
I created this contest after talking to so many Latinx writers and knowing there are good stories out there that need to be told, and the need we have to diversify publishing. By featuring Latinx voices especially I hope to even the ground a little more and help writers find the right representation for them.
Pitch América is held yearly on the second semester. Dates are always announced on the website.
