So my friend/CP/fangirl partner Erin just tagged me in this post, which I obviously feel obliged to answering because Erin POSED SOME AWESOME QUESTIONS! Thanks, Erin, for thinking of me when writing the post <3

Now, to answering the questions…
- If you could invite five writers (any kinds!) to a literary tea party, who would you choose and why? What foods would you serve?
That is such an AWESOME QUESTION. I’d probably invite all of my favorite writers. Top of the list would definetly be Agatha Christie, whom I deeply admire and I think it’d be a simple awesome person to have tea with. The second being JK Rowling, for obvious reasons (who wouldn’t want to have a tea party with her???). My third invite would go out to Lemony Snicket, probably for the LULZ and childhood memories. Jane Austen would also be invited because let’s be real, everyone would love to meet her. And last but not least, Cornelia Funke. It’d be an almost all ladies tea-party. And about the food – as far as typical brazilian goes, I’d serve traditional cheesebuns and lots of cake!
- What 2016 (or Fall 2015) book are you anticipating most?
I’m going to go with TRUTHWITCH, by Susan Dennard. I’ve read the sneak-peek and was participating in her workshop on how to write a first draft, where I first saw the world of the Witchlands come to life. It was an amazing experience and I am BEYOND excited for this book. It has all the elements I love – cool magic and awesome friendships and swoony romance. I’m also in a lot of expectations towards Evelyn Skye’s THE CROWN’S GAME, which is a fantasy inspired in Russia. So yeah, my kind of thing.
- When/how did you get into writing?
I don’t think I ever told this story to anyone before – I’d hit a low point in life where I was dealing with depression and a whole lot of other things. I took to writing as a form of trying to construct a new world, to find meaning in the things I couldn’t see in my life. Later, it ended up in developing a complete passion for what I do. Writing got me out of a bad moment in my life, and I hope that my writing can do the same for other people (:
And yes, I confess, it was at first by writing Naruto fanfiction. Everyone needs hobbies!
- What is your favorite season and why?
I love Summer! I’m a super summer and warmth fan (cue in Olaf’s singing ‘In Summer’). The song resumes everything I love about hot weather – going to the beach, getting tanned, not having to dress up a lot and be relaxed and on holidays.
- Do you play music when you write? Or have a playlist for your stories?
Yes for both! I don’t always play music, but when I need to concentrate, it’s always something that I do. It’s an habit – I have a writing playlist with lots of songs from movies and classical, so it always helps me tune in to the story. (Also, if you have recs, I’m always accepting new ones!). Depending on the story, I also have a playlist – both with classical/movie tunes that remind me of the ‘vibe’ of the book, and songs whose lyrics remind me of my story. For FIREBIRD, for example, I listened to a lot of Lorde’s ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’, which reminds me a lot of Tatiana. For my alien invasion WIP, I played a lot of ‘It’s the End of the World as We know it’.
- What’s your favorite Disney movie?
GAAAAH, WHY?????? I clearly can’t pick any favorites because I love all disney movies. I’m an obsessed disney fangirl. There are some that I love more – when I was a child, I would make my mom watch Cinderella with me every day. EVERY SINGLE DAY. For a year. So Cinderella is one of my picks, but I also love Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, the Sword in the Stone (actual favorite when I was 11), the Sleeping Beauty and the little mermaid. I also love Lilo & Stitch very much. Also Tangled and obviously, Frozen. I indulge in an all-things-frozen obsession with ease.
- If you could be anything, do anything in the world, what would you choose?
I think it’d be cool if I could be Indiana Jones. I mean it, seriously. Or maybe Darth Vader. Wonder Woman or Batman. Those are honestly all good options.
- What’s your favorite childhood picture book?
I don’t remember reading a lot of picture books – but there was a brazilian one written by Ruth Rocha (one of the best brazilian authors for kids! She’s still my favorite) that was about a chamaleon who kept changing colors to please the animals around him. It was a pretty fun book and I’d love reading it – and the illustrations were beautiful. It’s called “Bom Dia, todas as cores” (in translation: ‘good morning, all colors’)
- If you could steal one person’s singing voice (kind of like Ursula), who would you choose?
Hmmm, WHAT A HARD CHOICE. Probably Adele’s. I love her tone and the depth in her voice. Or maybe Idina Menzel’s, HAHA. WATCH ME SING LET IT GO WITHOUT DYING IN THE END.
- What’s a book that has made you cry?
I’m honestly a big cry-baby when it comes to books. I’ve cried in a lot of John Green books and holocaust stories always, always touch something deep within me. But instead of situation or theme, I usually cry when there is good character development. Heir of Fire, by Sarah J Maas, got me into a sobbing mess. I cried so much I had a headache.
